Fruit beer macerated in young Lambic Traditional spontaneous fermentation rosé fruit beer, with 250 g/l of raspberries macerated in young, oak-matured Lambic. The aroma is very close to that of new rosé wine, with a great deal of fruit and hints of wood. The flavour is dry and fruity-complex, with aromas of vanilla and wood. Fine sour notes and a high carbonic acid content give the beer zest. The 1986 vintage of Framboise BOON was awarded the “best beer of the year” prize by US trade journal “Malt Advocate” in 1995.

Old Geuze Boon is a classic among Belgian beers and a denomination protected by European regulations. Spontaneous fermentation and maturation for 2 years in oak casks gives this beer its highly unique flavour, which has characterised it for over 200 years. A sour mellowness and dry oak touches are typical of this Old Geuze Boon. It is light-yellow amber in appearance, crowned with a nice head. It has a very fresh nose, more spicy than fruity, with touches of citrus, pepper, vanilla and oak. The aftertaste is long, dry and intense.
